Adaptation de la map cs_assault, les terroristes commenceront ici avec la bombe. Cependant de nombreux ralentissements se font ressentir sur cette carte. Cette carte est également gâchée par un extérieur trop sombre, dommage.

Ici l’action se passe sur un champ de mine de taille réduite, chaque camp démarre d’un côté en face à face, donc peu de stratégie. Cependant il est intéressant de noté que le premier qui arrive au milieu du champ peut déclancher l’explosion de mines disséminées un peu partout.

Le chemin pour délivrer les otages n’est pas compliqué : toujours tout droit!

Cependant ça ne sera pas facile d’y arriver, car sur cette map ressemblant à un marais, au relief vallonné et composée de nombreux arbres et rochers pour se protéger, le chemin sera semé d’embûches.
Une carte qui n’avantage aucun des deux camps, car elle reste suffisamment large pour permettre aux cts de submerger le camp terroriste

Malgré de beaux décors, cette map, de forme rectangulaire délaisse le côté stratégique. En effet, il n’y a pas d’otages à sauver, et les deux camps ont un objectif : tuez l’adversaire. Il y aura deux façons d’y arriver, soit rester à son départ qui fait face à celui de l’adversaire ou passer à l’attaque par le sous-sol ou par l’extérieur, mais à ses risques et périls !

Claire et composée de textures agréables, cette map est assez bien conçue et propose de nombreux chemins aux cts pour aller sauver les otages, prisonniers dans un hangar. En conclusion une map s’avérera agréable à jouer, si les deux camps cherchent à mener à bien leurs objectifs.

Une map cs_ qui en a que le nom, car les otages ne sont pas de la partie.
De taille réduite, cette map rectangulaire ravira ceux qui n’aiment pas que ça traîne.
Chacun des camps démarre d’un coté et a pour seuls abris des containers, et une grande flaque d’eau au milieu.

Cette map est la reprise de la map cs_assault, en plus jolie ^^,

Quelques petites différences sont à notées :
-la porte du fond ne grince plus, et elle est moins protégé par de grosses caisses à l’intérieur du hangar,
-la salle des otages n’est plus séparée par une porte coulissante du reste du hangar.

This Map is based on a Goldeneye 64 map, or what i remember of it,
and is a very simple, but effective Deathmatch map. Not intended for Team Deathmatch,
Or matches with more than 6 people. Best played with 4 people. There is no where to
hide in this map, and all four rooms are the same. Similar style Gameplay as UT2004.
GravGun is not reccommended much in this map, as the doors are not big, and not many
objects, because of the map layout. This is also the first map i have made for any
game ever, so I hope you like it.

Level Name: DM_Subway.
Setting: What remains of NYC subway system after the events of half life one.
Item balancing: One station has most of the ammunition while the other has most of the better weapons, creating a dynamic where taking the subway is essential and staying in one station is not desirable. This encourages more trains fights, which is the point of this level.
Performance: Because this is a deathwatch level I tired to keep the frame rate as high as possible. Even thought I made handle bars for the subway cars, I later removed the to save frame rate which now does not dip below 30 frames per sec and averages about 60frames per second on a athlon 2800+ with gf6800 most setting maxed resolution at 1024. I tested it also on my centrino 1.3 with gf5200 and it runs well at low resolution.
Note: This is a relatively large level and while it can be played by as littile as 2 people, it is most fun with 4 and up.
all weapons are on this board but some require you to use the gravity gun to pull them in.
The black train is a combine converted subway with combine pods on the middle platforms.
To deal with the physics items being removed from the level when they fall on to tracks and get ran over by the high speed combine train, I set up a teleportation brush that sends them right back to the construction area of the smaller station.

Its been a while science Ive done any half-life based mapping but after
checking out the new things in the editor I found myself being sucked back
into it. Its been a while so I set myself the task of restoring a classic map
from the N64 days. I managed to pick up a N64 for 15 quid with Golden Eye
second hand.
I spent a lot of time playing Golden Eye to make sure things were geometrically
correct for the Half-Life 2 Death match version, visually I changed things a
little such as lighting and the textures and some props. I have no intentions to
add any extras (more rooms ect ect) and to keep to the form of the original map.
I don't know if anyones doing the same map and I apologies if I have stepped on
peoples toes in the process.

Notes about the map: Nothing special about the map, just the valve deathmatch map
contest entry. At some points the world polys will get a little high and reduce the
frame rate from a average of 100-120 to 50's range, but I think it is all worth it to
look at the beauty of the map, please take notice of the shadows, as it added a lot of
time for my computer to compile the light (apox: 2 1/2 hours).
Secrets/easter eggs: none, although many may not realize that you can shoot and pull
down the clocks in the stations and use them as weapons.
Please note that since that the package contained both contest enties they are entirely
separate, we split the cost of shipping the maps together, rather than paying for two
FedEX deliveries.

@Arkshine: de_basalt is a whooping 462M, it won't go down below 250M even with ultra compression, it uses a ton of models and has a large out of bounds area, it's not your normal CSGO map no, but it's an official map, its CS2 version is even larger reaching 2GB but that's irrelevant since the site doesn't have a CS2 category
