  從來沒有想過 2023了 我還會繼續在CS1.6上做地圖
這個遊戲陪伴了我將近20年的時光, 時間真的過得好快
我玩了CS這麼久, 我也沒有想過我會自己完全獨立研發一張
地形完全是透過自己規劃而生的任務地圖.
雖然材質方面還是幾乎都使用V社做的官方材質
但我還是沒想到自己能夠獨立做出一張喜歡的任務地圖.
希望這張圖不會是我人生最後一張圖
也希望自己在三十歲之前能夠賺到人生第一桶金 哈哈
想想過去一起玩CS1.6的夥伴 大部分都已經為人父母
然而自己卻沒結婚還算在魯(xd
時間真的過得很快 歲月不饒人
只能說 CS1.6真的是影響我人生最大的一個遊戲
不只是槍戰 還有跳躍...今年中旬
除了xtreme-jumps關閉
還有Cosy-Climbing
現在連kztw都關閉了
頓時覺得人生少了很多重要的去處
感嘆 回不來了 過去的就只能過去了 只能向前走了.
雖然我現在真的都在玩CSGO
但我總感覺CSGO與其說是一個遊戲 更像是一個毒品
而CS1.6與其說是一個遊戲 更像是在人生陪伴你的老朋友

**description**
There is a rumor in the small town of Tour in France.
Terrorists receive unidentified salaries every day,
And ordered by unknown persons.
Go to the attractions in Tour town to detonate the bomb.
Due to the very high population density of the town of Tour, the terrorists decided to keep a low profile, Will depart in the evening.
The counter-terrorists received a notification from an unknown person that there will be terrorists in the town of Tour.
So the counter-terrorists must execute the order to protect the scenic spot
from being taken down by terrorists.
Note : There are 2 bombsites in Tour.
Winning conditions:

I never thought about 2023, I will continue to make maps on CS1.6
This game has been with me for nearly 20 years, time really flies
I have been playing CS for so long, and I never thought that I would develop a game map completely independently
The terrain is completely a mission map generated through your own planning.
Although in terms of materials, almost all of them use the official materials made by Valve.
But I still didn't expect to be able to independently make a favorite mission map.
I hope this map will not be the last map of my life
I also hope that I can make my first pot of money in my life before the age of thirty, haha
Think about the partners who played CS1.6 together in the past, most of them are already parents
However, I am not married, so I am still a single dog (xd
Time flies really fast, time is not forgiving
I can only say that CS1.6 is really the game that has had the biggest impact on my life
Not just shootouts but also jumps... the middle of the year

Counter-Terrorists: Gentlemen, welcome to Sector 5. I know what you've been thinking: "Isn't it the part of the city which is full of outcasts and criminals?" Well, yes, and that's why you are here. Intel says there are a group of foreign ultranationalists, who are planning an attack on this sector. More specifically, they want to destroy some classic cars on a recent auto show. We believe it's not the cars, but something on the cars that really drew their attention. Your mission is to prevent anything in the sector from being destroyed. Moreover, since this is your very first mission, your combat skills will be evaluated throughout the whole operation. So don't let us down.
Terrorists: No, not the cars. Don't you get it? Some operatives have stolen our country's top military secrets, and they are going to sell those secrets to mega corporations in Europe. They stored the secrets in chips, then hid those chips on some cars, which are now being displayed during an auto show. The chips are well protected by some special devices, therefore we have to completely blow those things up before anyone can get their hands on them! Assassinate anyone who threatens the success of the operation and bomb one of the 2 objectives that were mentioned in the meeting, failure is not an option, the success of this operation will give our cause more notoriety.
Textures: Most of the textures are mine with the exception of a wad I took from a half life mod titled "delek unbidden ((Link))" and others that are vertigo, italy and half life wad.
Sounds: I took the sounds scattered throughout the map from YouTube, I leave a playlist of each video from which I took the sounds ((Link)).

Obejectives.
Terrorists: in El-Kantara city there are two targets, one of them is stockage area and the other one is a small market, you have to plant the bomb in one of these sites and destroy the target, kill Counter-Terrorist team.
Counter-Terrorists: a group of terrorists are planning to destroy an important base in El-kantara city, you have to secure this city and kill all terrorists, defuse the bomb it they planted it.

I'm not good at making maps, sorry if I don't suit someone.
I'm just learning, and Wheatley inspired me to make maps
Preferred number of players is 10v10, 16v16 is tight.
After all, there is "mini" in the name.
It is definitely suitable for various mods, it has been tested and plays great.

It's not a 100% porting job ( as in such a case nothing of the architexture is changed ).
In my eyes the original mapper remains the same.

@qoLmE : I have had chat with Izuko in the past, most of his works are basic edits and entity changes - as such the original mapper remains the same, the editor however is still an important contributor for making it available in a different form

As it stands most of the mapping work is not merely work the architecture, certain maps benefit a lot from prefabs, custom textures and skyboxes but we can't fill them all out here, so those need to be mentioned in readme instead

How does porting actually work?
Do you need the rmf for that ( to be able to open it in programs such as hammer )?
You have to edit it anyhow to match the game's properties of the one you're making the port for.

Depends, porting from HL to CS or CS to HL is as easy as changing the entities of the map. I could do that via BSPEdit. It's even easier to convert a HL map for OP4 or vice versa due to many common entities.

When porting to a completely different game engine, you need to decompile map on one engine, edit it as necessary and recompile to other engine. In most cases this is a tedious task, generally a good mapper would just prefer recreating the map in new engine

Anyways deciding on a map author is a non-trivial task. There are also cases where someone who doesn't know how to map drafts a "floor plan" of the map on a piece of paper and someone who can map implements it. So creativity comes from one person and implementation from someone else

One single input field is not enough to convey all this info, but readme and proper tags searching mechanisms help. I like to see all maps that have Sock's egyptian textures regardless of who author is because those textures look really good as an example

@FIXXOR: So in case a decompile is done and only the needed functions/entities are changed to make it work in the destination game/module/... as ParaBolt just described, you would still agree to give authorship to the person who recompiled it? As this is, as you said, the one who compiles it.

@qoLmE not clue about the example given of porting from hl to cs, but I'm porting maps from source to goldsrc and the process is: decompile into vmf, open the vmf in jack, convert the source entities into their goldsrc equivalents, convert and reapply the textures, decompile and recompile the models, fix errors caused by the decompiler, optimize, then finally recompile for goldsrc

I like to argue that authorship goes to however compiled the map because each new compile is unique I think, you can get a mismatch if you recompile the same map a second time even without any changes, so the game seemingly recognizes each compilation as distinct

technically you can just edit the maxrange property and not even rename the map since it shouldn't cause a mismatch, so it's a useless edit for any savvy host

basically entity properties are decided by the entity configuration of the host, you can outright remove entities such as doors and breakables this way and play with someone who has the original version of the map, because removal in this context just means they won't load, they are still stored in the map file
