I noticed there are way too many bots, I will figure out a way to block them. Same for the people scrapping the website, I won't overlook this behavior anymore, please use the website the "normal" way. Let's have a better experience for everyone. Clouflare enforces IPv6 connection but since the website/forum doesn't support well IPv6, I need to enable an option to keep IPv4, but it's not the real IP and it's detected as proxy. I guess I can remove the warning, doesn't matter much.
I don't get why you are insisting everyone pays for your server. If you can't afford 33 euros a month, why don't you just upload the map archive of people's work, instead of demanding people pay your server hosting bill.
Plenty of people (myself included) would just host it for free without restrictions.
Yet you demand everyone go through your server (you somehow can't afford at your age?) and throttle downloads down despite you only serving 2-3GB of bandwidth a day which is hardly anything.
You are a terrible person, and its a shame people trusted their content with you.
Are you done? I’m not the creator of 17Buddies. It’s a platform, not a file dump, and it exists because of years of work by its original creator, Chapo. I don’t engage with people who insult volunteers while clearly not understanding the situation.
while i do not agree with isometricpanda2's tone, reading it got me wondering, online hosting is annoyingly expensive, have you considered self-hosting it?
I mean you can get an used laptop with decent specs for like 200-300 euros, host the website on it, pay barely anything at all for electricity, and just need to pay for the domain alone which is much cheaper than the hosting. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but wouldn't this work?
